superb location and spacious rooms
fantastic location spacious rooms helpful staff
the location was fantastic. the rooms were spacious and clean. as a beautifully restored scottish heritage building, my room featured soaring high ceilings. the staff was friendly and helpful (i appreciated their assistance).
the lift did not reach my floor, requiring me to use stairs.

i noticed a mini kitchen with a microwave within the room, allowing simple meal preparations. while i did not order it, i understand there is a breakfast, but perhaps more choices would enhance guest experience. i saw a variety of restaurants nearby, easily accessible for alternative dining options.

the hotel is ultra central and quite close to many attractions. it is a short walk to the waverly train station. the royal mile is right across the street from the hotel.

Fantastic Stay with Excellent Amenities

I enjoyed the convenience of having a full kitchenette in my room. It included a refrigerator and a microwave, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals. The views from the tall windows were beautiful (especially during sunset!).
The gym was somewhat simple and did not have as much equipment as I anticipated.

The hotel provided a good breakfast. It included croissants and pain au chocolat (though I would have liked more variety). Coffee tasted a bit like water, but there were also juice options.

The staff members were very friendly and helpful . My room included a mini fridge and supplies for coffee and tea. I was pleased to find a separate gluten-free section at breakfast, including granola, cornflakes, and bread.
The window in my room had a broken pane, and it rattled all night, difficult to sleep.

This place has a fantastic location. It is just off-block from the city center and hustle, but it still allows for an easy walking distance. Many sites were easily accessible.

The window in my room had a noticeable crack. It rattled all night. The noise from the street kept me awake. This made it difficult to rest (i REALLY needed a good night's sleep).

convenient service easy access
The laundry room offered a convenient service. I appreciated having access to a washing machine and dryer at no extra cost. The location provided easy access to many attractions. I walked to several shops and restaurants nearby.

worn furniture limited breakfast
The room felt a bit worn. There were some scuff marks on the furniture. the bathroom seemed dated, too. i also found the breakfast options limited. They did not have many choices. it was not the worst experience, but i expect more for the price i paid.
