Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Prestonfield House is widely appreciated for its unique charm and beautiful grounds, conveniently located near Arthur's Seat and within easy reach of Edinburgh city center. Guests often mention the spacious and well-appointed rooms, some even finding champagne, truffles, fruit and cookies upon arrival. The afternoon tea is usually considered delicious, although some guests have noted that the service can be slow and the price quite high. The proximity to highland cows grazing nearby contributes to the feeling of being both close to the city and out in the country.

The staff demonstrated great friendliness. The hotel grounds were beautiful and well kept. I especially enjoyed the easy access to nearby walking trails. The Luxury Room was well-appointed with thoughtful amenities.
The service was slower than expected, particularly during afternoon tea. I waited quite a while for my tea. The table was not cleared quickly enough (it felt overcrowded). I noticed a cracked teacup during my tea service.
