Review summary
Based on recent reviews

The Toren Amsterdam is praised for its prime location in the historic canal district, within walking distance of attractions like the Anne Frank House and Dam Square. Guests often highlight the spacious, well-designed rooms with comfortable queen-size beds and modern bathrooms, some featuring canal views. While a few guests have noted that some rooms could benefit from updates, many appreciate the hotel's unique, somewhat gothic decor and find the breakfast excellent, especially the made-to-order Dutch pancakes.

The room was small. This was not ideal. Ventilation in the bathroom did not work. The minibar also failed to cool things. The receptionist was not friendly either. This caused frustration.

Nice Stay

The staff provided smiles upon arrival and showed us to our upgraded room. The hotel had arranged balloons plus a handwritten note. I chatted with the barman and mentioned it was my partner's 40th. The drinks were on the house and the room was clean. we used the romantic jacuzzi.
Loud power tools were used in the hallway outside our room as fire doors were upgraded. We moved to another room efficiently. We hadn't chosen the practical room for the nightly price paid, so we were disappointed.
