W Amsterdam features 238 rooms with a mix of historical Dutch details and contemporary features. Options include Cozy Exchange Rooms (22-25 sqm) with atrium views, Wonderful Exchange Rooms (25-30sqm) with city or atrium views, and Fabulous Bank Rooms (24-40 sqm) with canal views. Suites range from Marvelous Suites (duplex with skylights) to the Extreme WOW Exchange Suite (112 sqm) with a snooker table that converts to a dining table. Each room includes W's signature bed with pillow top mattress, 400-thread count sheets, a 40" LCD TV, and MOMO Spa amenities. Select rooms offer views of the Royal Palace, canals, or city.

Dining Options

The hotel has four restaurants. Mr Porter is a steakhouse with a lounge. The Michelin-starred restaurant, The Duchess, serves French-Italian cuisine in the former counting house. Breakfast at Mr Porter features a wide-ranging buffet. The Duchess offers a modest buffet with an à la carte menu and fruit juices, smoothies, and fruit cocktails made on the spot. The rooftop lounge bar at Exchange offers cocktails. The Butcher is also on-site.

Leisure and Entertainment

W Amsterdam features a rooftop W Lounge overlooking the Royal Palace, with signature cocktails and the WET Deck rooftop pool. The AWAY Spa includes a swimming pool and hot tubs (available for a maximum of 2 hours), mysteriously lit and behind heavy vault doors. The FIT gym offers treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes with LCD TVs, weight machines, free weights, yoga mats, balance balls, and jump ropes. The hotel can arrange weddings and social events.

a romantic escape

attentive staffdivine spatired elevator
I adored our stay. The staff was so attentive. our room was upgraded and came with a complimentary bottle of bubbles. the spa was divine and so relaxing, and room service arrived quickly.
the elevator seemed a bit neglected and tired. it needed some care. the overall experience was magical, yet this small detail was a slight distraction.

the gym includes technogym machines that add to the sophistication. the concierge helped secure a reservation at mr porter on the same day. it was excellent and very helpful.

the location was perfect and the staff seemed cute (i guess).
I found that the room was quite noisy at night and the large windows offered little soundproofing. I had to resort to earplugs to get any sleep.

the location was amazing. it was easy to walk to many places. the staff provided friendly service (i especially liked the team at the rooftop bar). the hotel has a young and refreshing vibe.
the building layout was confusing. my room felt dark with a strange layout. the price i paid per night didn't match the quality of the experience (it was really extortionate).
